Hi i am doing a tutorial about taking topography from a dwg file. Do you even model in revit using topography and if so do you import it from a dwg or do you make it yourself in revit?

thanks

You can do either.  Refer to your tutorials and HELP for more information.

ideally i wanto to take my revit model into max to render it, how vital is terrain modelling? do you model it all the time or just if it plays a bit part in the design?

I would think that is up to you and your project - not a consensus on this forum.  For us, every site is important be it flat or otherwise.

ok thanks, do you usually make the terrain prior to the building model or after the model and work the terrain around it?
