Revit 2010. See attachment: I have a ceiling created in-place as a swept blend. The profiles for the sweep/blend is drawn on the beams, and the path is a small circle segment (as the beams are not perfectly parallel).

I want it to look like the ceiling is made from boards parallel to the beams. As you can see, the surface pattern that i have chosen for the material is not turning out very nicely. I have now googled till I was blue:

Align doesn't work, rotate doesn't work. I can however move the pattern staying parallel.

Any ideas?

If I get the pattern to align properly, the rendering material (see attached) should align as well as long as I have the two aligned the material properties - right

Also I should note, that the mass making up the ceiling seems perfectly smooth when rotated about and inspected closely in 3D, so I also don't understandwhere the edges and very odd hatches with uneven spacing is coming from.

Any help is much appreciated!
