i have an area scheduke that breaks down by flloor, but i am having trouble adding floor totals in order to a building total.

in your schedule properties, go to the formatting tab... Click "Area" in the list and select the "calculate totals" box

I've tried this yet doesn't show a total on the area schedule. Is there another step to doing this? Thanks in advance.
