Does anyone know if there is a way or a plug in / add-on to assign color to Pen Line Weights (basically to represent the lineweight with colour, like in AutoCAD and Archicad). I've gotten used to B/W over the time I've been using Revit but recently got to use ArchiCAD again and it just seems so much better with colour ... Much easier to read the drawing and much better for my mental well being i think.Dont really expect thre to be a solution but worth a try. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

i'm assuming that you've decided that doing it through the styles menus was too time consuming and wanted an easy way to do it automatically by line weight?

im assuming that you're talking about doing it through "Line Styles" menu... which ... yes 1. it is too long 2. wouldnt necesserly always represent the true line weight vs colour ... (if you change pen wou would also need to change the colour...) and the problem is that it wouldnt print in black/white. if you could assign colour to penset, then everything would be efferted and only 16 boxes to set up.

I don't understand why you would want to do that. The advantage of REVIT is that lineweights are assigned by category and once you have that setup, you don't have to worry about it anymore. Remember, lineweights in REVIT automatically adjust based on view scale and your settings. I think you need to break from the cad thought process. BTW - if you want to control the color of detail lines (or for that matter any element line) - do that from the options menu... but the control is by element - not pen lineweight.
