I am working in Revit MEP and need to render pictures of the duct system. When I do, it comes out black. Normally that happens when there is no material parameter in the family. I checked the family and there was not. So I go to edit the family and it is grayed out in the right click menu. I was able to edit the fittings and add a parameter to put a material on them but could not edit the ducts. I also tryed to open "System Family: Rectangulart Duct" directly from the Imperial library but I could not find it. My company has alot of hours in this project and this is holding the whole thing up.

Thank you for the help

I did find a solution. I went to the "Object Styles" and changed the material there. The only problem is there is not a setting for the actual duct. What I had to do is set the insulation material and put a 1/8" of insulation on all the duct. This was the only solution I could find. If anyone has a better one let me know.
