Hi I am trying to generate a wall schedule that links my walls and tag names but also shows a graphic that shows my studs. Then on the plans I want to show a wall tag, and a legend key that refers to the schedule. Any ideas on how to accomplish this would greatly be appreciated Thanks.

You can create your wall shedule using the legend tool. Place legend components for the wall either in section or in plan as you want to view them. You will then have to use text (yes not very revit like) or symbols to tag them in the view. Unfortunately you currently can't tag the graphic representation in legend views. So you'll have to make that manual connection to the codes use in the schedule. Then use wall tags in plan to tag the various different types of walls using there type mark number/code. Then its just a matter of placing your wall schedule and graphical legend side by side on a sheet. This way if you wall structure changes for a particular type it will update your graphic legend. However if you change a code for a particular wall type, or add a new one this will need to be amended manually. HTH.

Thanks for the tip. This means if I change my wall type in the model the tag will update? I think the answer is no. if you cant tag in the legend then it wont know the wall type tag. Right? Thanks.

The tag on the plan will update. If you change the wall type then it would be referring to a different wall type, which would mean the graphic wall schedule wouldn't need updating? The only time you would need to update the legend would be if you change the tag for a particular wall type...
