Hi, if you use revit architectural 2011, you can produce the Schedule/Quantities from each of your element, including volume, perimeter, area, etc.

Click on View tab -> Schedule (drop down list) -> Material Take off

Select the category of your element (i.e Floors or Columns or any other), click OK. Material Takeoff properties dialog box will appear, on the Field tab, highlight which field you want to be scheduled (i.e volume, perimeter, area, etc) and click Add -->. Click OK, and there should be a new Schedule / Quantities appear in your project browser.

Click your schedule and your quantities should be scheduled.

Hope it helps.
