"I am trying to cut my roof with the walls. " - Like what? if you want to cut the roof (by footprint) pick in that roof, edit and sketch the roof for where you want.... be more clear...

Could somebody tell me how to cut roof geometry in Revit 2009. I am attaching images. I have a gable roof and putting a 2nd story over the gable roof. I want the gable roof to be cut by the second 2 story walls. Roof2 file shows that the roof is still there. I used cut geometry in plan view. But I could not even get the roof selected. Could somebody help me with it. I looked tutorials but could not figure out. I am new to Revit and any help will much appreciatted. thanks SudanHafif

Here is another Revit roof question; I am trying to attach two new gable roof to an existing roof I used cut geometry and join roof none of them seem to work. I used roof by footprint but that does not seem to give me the roof configuration that I am looking for. There fore I created 2 gable roofs and trying to joing them witrh existing in between and get the results that you see in the attached files. The attached file shows the gable roof to the right that I am trying to attach the gable roof with higher ridge in the middle. As you can see from the section I am not sucessfull in achieving joining the two. The third gable roof to the left I did not try to join it, hopefully I will with somebodies help Thanks Sudanhafif
