i have the 2009 comparison matrix- and everything on it that arch had and structure didn't have- structure now has all of them.. i can't find a comparison matrix for 2010.. i'm not really sure what the reason for using structure only would be because revit architecture does have all the structural components.. but who knows..

WYS, sorry, sometimes Lunch it's very funny, about the question, well, you also can ask why autodesk don't create one version of revit with Arch, Struc and Mep in the same software? maybe by $$$, but Arch it's for Architects and Struc it's for Engenniers...

i'm sure all three programs will be one eventually- including revit civil.. (could be a name change someday) this is just the beginning.. if i would have been a hand drafter- i would have avoided CAD and waited for revit in 2002..

Maybe, who knows??? In 1998 they put in the market the "primordium" of the Civil3D, but in that time, they sold by modules (survey, land, civil, pipes...), now there are CIVIL3D, you buy one program where is included ALL...

there is a guy at our firm that skipped learning autocad, went straight from hand drafting to revit. no bad habits, no constant statements like 'well in cad...", etc. Jealous?
