I've got a 28' light fixture that still acts like its a down light.  I've made sure the right lighting source is used and I make sure the emit from line length is as long as the fixture but there is still a hot spot in the middle of light on the wall.  How do you get it to be the same intensity down the length of the fixture?

I would not make a single 28' light, I would use multiple nested families or just multiple families to create the light. I have seen this in the forums before and it seems someone had a decent solution but i cant remember it.

I was hoping to reduce the number of lights so as to reduce the rendering time.  But I guess that will be a no go.

I found that rendering on settings above Low will eliminate the hotspot efect where on low and draft rendering settings there is a hotspot centered on the linear light source no matter how long or how many lights there are.
