Revit 2009:

I attempted to add text before, after, & under various dimensions on a long string.  They kept disappearing on me.  I would add text to the last dimension in the string and find the first text no longer visible.  When I tried to edit the witness lines and add additional dimensions, all of the text, previously entered, disappeared.  Am I doing something wrong or is it just Revit being wierd again?

Revit is being inconsiderate. If you edit the witness lines you will lose the text. I think it's because it recalculates the dimensions. Why it loses the text......????

lol

in 2009, if you override the text, then change the dimension (like adding a witness line, or removing one) revit will ALWAY remove your overrides.

Sometimes, I find it easier to break that string up into multiples if the override is very very important, this way there is no accidents.

I'll have to check that out. I find it amazing that the factory would fix a problem and not market it.
