Eventhough 2010 offers a local file creator option, check out the Local File Creator here: http://tech.kdcad.com/?p=151. It's a handy tool specifically designed to help people who are working on multiple Revit projects. It keeps track of your central files and you just pick one from a list to create a local copy. You can also elect to open it in one of three versions of Revit you may have installed. Very handy if you have some clients on 2010 and some on 2009 for example.
