Guys/girls,
When you draw a wall (110 brick / 50 cavity / 90 timber framing all in one) and have a ceiling height of 3000mm with a overhang of 600mm.
When you take a section through the wall, both brick and stud framing go up to roof height, now is there a way you can edit the brick work to stop at say 2700mm and the stud framing to 3000mm???
Thanks like always!!

Two ways:
Using a stacked wall, OR
unlocking the top of the brick wall layer and then using the top extension distance parameter to define the offset distance... (this is probably the easier option, as stacked walls can be fiddly).
Select the composite wall,
Go to properties-->Edit-->Edit Structure-->Switch Preview to section-->Choose modify-->Pick top edge of brick and unlock the padlock.
Click okay until you've gotten rid of all dialog boxes.
In the walls instance properties there should now be an available field for Top Extension distance... Set this to -300 or as required.
HTH.
