My site plan downloaded from Revit 2010 to Google Earth 5 is slightly rotated. Tried republishing using true North but the image is still rotated. Any ideas on how to correct this without having to put the site plan out of its true orientation within Revit? Is there a way to correct within Google Earth?

Don't know what method you're using to export your BIM model to Google Earth, but I use Avatech plug-in and I can specify orientation angle while exporting my model.
