I have a structural column tag that I am trying to modify. My problem is that I am not fully understanding why the parameters that I have selected are not allowing me to edit them when in plan view. What I need is the ability to manually specify the load by just typing it in on either the top or bottom of the column type (depending on clarity) Currently I have the comment parameter on the bottom of the tag because it is the only thing that I have found to work. In a perfect world I would like to create two instance parametes, one for the top and one for the bottom, rather than the "comments" parameter provided. Attached is the file I am working on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Read the HELP on shared parameters. You can add shared parameters to your tag that will allow you to do what you want but you must have the shared parameter defined first.
