I noticed when I 1st started using revit that the <Invisible Lines> linetype choice only seems to appear under certain conditions. As this is how Revit works with many options (things not being selectable when you're using a certain function in a certain view, etc) I wasn't surprised to find that <Invisible Lines> weren't always in the pull down.

 But today I simply can't find them. I am doing an interior elevation and would like to make some things with invisible lines and I just can't find them. I went to plan view, nothing. Did I maybe purge them? If so, how do I reload or load a linetype?

As with everything in Revit it's probably something ridiculously easy I am overlooking with a ridiculously easy solution OR Revit "just can't do that yet" lol.

Are you trying to draw model lines or detail lines? You cannot create an invisible line unless its inside of a sketch mode  of sorts (like filled regions) or inside of a family. You can also use the linework tool to convert lines to invisible.But within the main model, just drawing lines, you cannot use invisible lines.
