Can anyone tell me how to install, a grid system in this mass? Because the snaps tool, don’t seem to be working on the mass object.       But they are working on the other mullions, with in the drawing. I would like to set the mullions on a (45 degree angle), to create a diamond affect to the lower portion of the curtain wall. I have deleted the top portion of the wall, and kept the bottom. Can this be problem, why the snap are not working?

In Revit 2010 with the new "Conceptual mass" you can create that but in 2009 you only can put the angle in the flat surfaces

Typhoon: I’m using Revit Architectural 2009 at this time. Is there some way I can make, (custom mullion) for this wall? I try going into my south elevation and setting the grids there , but the snaps still aren’t working. So I’m asking, can I create a (custom mullion) for this wall?

You know albert, sometimes it really is annoying when someone really doesn't listen.  Please re-read Typhoon's post.

So are you talking about mullion pattern or mullion profile?  There is a difference.  Typhoon has answered your question on pattern.

For mullion profiles - look in your H E L P using "profile" as your serach and you will find the full process for creating profiles for mullions and setting them.

There it is, in Revit 2009, NOT CURTAIN GRIDLINES....

Well, I knew you could do it Typhoon but now you are going to have to create one of your magical Jing tutorials.   I was thinking in-place sweeps but retangular profiles would be hard to keep normal to the surface... it appears that if that is what you did, you cheated and used a round profile.  :-)

I strongly suggest if you really need to do this you upgrade to 2010.  If you aren't on subscription, then its going to be expensive exerice when you need to upgrade again.

As Typhoon has shown, he has created an in-place family and then in elevation created void diamonds to leave just the sections where the mullions would be.  Then used pick path and a loaded profile for the mullion to create each of the mullions manually.  Unless he has done something different??

As you can see this is a rather convoluted process and doesn't lend itself well to later design changes as there would be a lot of rework.  This would be avoided in RAC2010.

"Well, I knew you could do it Typhoon but now you are going to have to create one of your magical Jing tutorials."  - I DO THAT LATER, IF I HAVE TIME TOO....

"I was thinking in-place sweeps but retangular profiles would be hard to keep normal to the surface... it appears that if that is what you did, you cheated and used a round profile" - THERE IT IS WITH RECTANGULAR MULLIONS, in the begining i post with circular mullions because i think the shape of the glass it's the most appropriate, but like you know we can put the profile we want, so IT'S DONE, it's possible to do BUT NOT with curtain walls and curtain gridlines or mullions, but it's possible with some few extra work, 5 minutes to do it....

Thinks everyone, I appreciate the time you all have giving me.    I will let you all know how I made out.

Mr. Spot my computer has only (2GB of Ram, and a DUO Core 2.00 GHZ Intel). I believe to run 2010 you need 3mb of RAM

Although that is a little low on the specs that system should run Revit 2010 fine.  With only 2GB Ram though you would find that it may become a little unstable on files nearing the 100MB mark.  Revit 2010 doesn't require any more grunt than 2009 with the exception of up to date video drivers...

Although I strongly suggest you trial any new version for a while before updating officially!  This way you can identify any potential instability issues in advance.
