i have scheduled up all my columns and in the schedule fields i have the ''type'' and ''count'' selected.

my question is, is there a field or a way to show the location on grid of the column i,e gridline A,1 or gridline K,10........

if there is it would be very helpful with the job i am working on at the moment.

 cheers

That would be nice for you structural guys but at this time, I don't see how.  You could add a location parameter (instance) that you fill in.

Architecturally, we can identify where objects occur in rooms because there is a defined 3D volumn that REVIT can associate with.  You would think that they could build in an association to grids that you could turn on/off.

See next post.

Wow - In 2010 Architecture, you can schedule the column location if you placed them by grid...!  Not being structural, I had not tried this.  Could you do this on earlier versions?

For those columns off the grid, it even gives you the distance from the grids.
