Is anyone using match lines to coordinate drawings through the set of construction documnets. I'd like to have them so they reference sheets. Please help

Unfortunately in revit we are yet to get a tool for match lines... Only way at the moment is to do it the revit way, using plan callouts off a site plan then to manually draw a dumb match line in plans...

Thanks for the input. Maybe they'll fix that in the later releases.

If you define a new "grid head" that looks like the match line symbol, you can make a 'Grid Type" that is used as a match line. This way, when you place it in one view, it shows in all the other views. The callouts of sheets is still not possible.

I created a annotation family with all of my matchlines and a filled region for each area. I then added instance visibility parameters for the filled regions so that i could turn the region off for the area that was being shown in a view. This allowed the area of focus to pop graphically. I then made lables for each matchline with instance parameters that could be changed in each instance of the matchline family. This made it easy to tell you what sheet to refer to in order to see the other side of the matchline. This seemed like a good solution for a project that required 9 areas per floor on 36x48 sheets.

You don't need to do this now that REVIT supports match-lines. Read your help using "dependant" as your search. It will explain how to set up a dependent view and use a parametric match line that will display properly.
