hi all,

i am using a vista 64bit 2009 revit version

when exporting an avi i only have the choice between four codec versions

i used the intel iyuv.

it works and the avi produced will work ok on the vista machine

but creates problems on other machines.

i was told by my dealer that when i install an other codec, that codec then automaticly becomes available

in the revit dialog box. (i installed divx)

no such luck however

does anybody, including revit know how this can be done

current set up is very poor and the avi's can be guanteed to work on

a clients machine, which is rather embarrassing.

thanks so much,

bob.

The best approach is to do the compression outside of Revit.  Export out as "Full frames uncompressed", then you can use a wide array of software, some free, to do the compression.  I prefer Camtasia Studio, but you could also use Windows Movie Maker or a number of others...
