Hi guys

didn't know where to post this Question so hav posted here.I am not able to see the thumbnails of the families that i hav downloaded can any body help me with this.Every time i hav to open a family to see how it is and this consumes alot of time.so please help me in this regard.Thanks in advance....

In Revit, the thumnail depends on how the family is saved.  Some people do not check the box during the family save that generates the thumnail so it doesn't matter what you do.  For my library, I reopen these families, goto a 3D view (or whatever is appropriate for that family), then I re-save the family setting the checkbox to save the file using the current view. 

Here on RevitCITY, the image file you see in the downloads (if there is one) is a seperate file that the poster includes.  That image will never show from within Revit because it is not part of the family.
