full wireframe model from 3ds via dwg into revit massing and no way to do anything with it other than look at the whole thing.. for example can't trace floor profile because the roof is blocking that view.. this 3ds model will cut in design review but how can i cut it in revit massing so i can trace it and build it? i've tried partial explode and full explode and it always says it can't do that and i never see the wireframe again if i try that.. i really need to be able to cut 3d wireframe models i bring into massing in order to trace the different parts.. the only kind of answer i ever get on this is something like: "gee i import DWG into revit massing and i don't have any problem". please- we are not all artists and we are not all building designers.. what is so strange about building someone elses design? revit if far more a model construction and documentation program than a design modeller..
