I have a 3 story dormatory in all 3 floor plans are the same. The bathrroms are identical to the floor below. I made vertical risers to all fixtures with maines all underground. I made a water closet group, a lavatory group, and a bathtub group. Problem when I bring a group into a bathrrom using create a instance, all of piping wyes are deleted and some are disconnected. I get a error message that says(Can't move or copy  these elements at the same time. One of them is restricted to moving in one direction while the other is restricted to moving in a conflicting direction). I take all the wyes out and use short tees it will recreate just fine. Is there any way for me to trick Revits piping wyes on direction of flow?

Instead of a straight copy and since you grouped them, why didn't you select the group from your browser and then create instance?

Groups can be a pain...

BTW, instead of grouping these, you might just try copying to clipboard then paste aligned...select levels by name.

Ive tried copying and pasting, and tried creating a new instance. I get the same error message and no matter which one I use, most of my wyes are either deleted or disconnected.

I'm not on MEP so I don't know how it works.  Is your group defined without being connected to other non-group objects ... like piping?  That may be what hold's them in place - try deleting those first and then the copy process....

... then again, I might be all wet!
