HiI'm using RST '09. I'm about to start learning to program in Revit (I'm conversent with VBA within AutoCAD).I was talking to a colleague of mine, hoping to glean some tips 'n' tricks from him.He stated that the start/end point of a structural framing element or the insertion point of a pile foundation family couldn't be obtained as it wasn't exposed by the API. He said that they could only be obtained by using a 'node' family/routine that he'd developed had to be placed at the required points & then using his routine put the X,Y & Z into parameters within that family. Is he correct? I'd be surprised if this info isn't avialable. I think it would limit the usability severely. Are you aware of an online example i could have a look at?RegardsDave F.
