Hello,

I have an issue with window frames appearing almost 100% transparent in 3D renders when camera view is angled. The frames have a metal material applied with a dark finish, window families are from manufacturer and created by company who charges for their use, i have contacted them and are waiting a response but was hoping someone could help me resolve this in the meantime.

I Have attached image

Thanks

No matter how the materials are set in the family, the project material settings are boss.  If frame is set to be the material metal in the family and metal in the project is set to transparent, then that's what it is.  Verify your material settings in the project for the names that are used in the family.

Thanks,

The issue was with the window family the creator had set the detail level under family element visibility settings to FINE ONLY & NOT COARSE & MEDIUM.
