Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what the best practices are surrounding tagging elevations, more specifically by color.

I'm not sure how to get to our desired end result. Here are my doubts: for instance, if I create two walls of the same wall type, and decide to paint one green and one red, am I supposed to create a second wall type (one green, one red)? Or can I use the Paint tool?

I want to be able to automatically tag my elevations by color (on a black and white print), as well as by material.

Any input as to how you/your company goes about this would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading!

I should add that tagging (keynoting) by element/material is not an issue for me.

I think I should be using the paint command and keynote by material, but I'm just not sure.

We don't consider color to be a finish and only show finishes that have a graphic representation.  White or black, paint is paint.  Otherwise, we use a finish tag that is instance based.

Just wondering, how do you indicate color?

Gosh, I must not have been paying attention! Sorry about that. I'll try the finish tags. Thanks.
