I am trying to do material takeoffs for combined areas of conc beams, floors, columns and walls. We are trying to achieve a total concrete area for a project (surface areas for floors and beams)This works well as a multi category takeoff, however with framing members (conc beams) the areas given are for all 6 sides of the beam, not just the top surface area. Now I can add a calculated value in to achieve this, but all the other elements area values disappear (See attachement). Is there a way I can achieve this or is it just not possible?
