I have downloaded a lighting fixture on Revitcity that is attached to a wall.  I would like to edit that fixture and instead attach it to massing (rather than the wall).  Can I remove the wall constaint so that the fixture can be attached anywhere?

Please help!

Sorry - you will have to re-build the family ... or re-create your mass as a wall...

When you say "re-build", how would I rebuild it?  Does a family always require a "host" or constraint?

You can build hosted or non-hosted families.  Just depends on the template you start with.  Light fixtures can be built stand alone/wall/floor or ceiling hosted but can also be defined from generic templates including line and face-hosted families.
