Why or why is this doing this? - coloured structural beam lines after i apply my view template to a linked structural file, the beam lines change to colours like the images. any ideas why this would be doing this? my view template customized the linked file so that annotation cataegories - ref lines, grids, leveles, tuned off.

The orange lines are the analytical lines of the structural model. You can turn these off by going into your view templates and then into VISIBILITY / GRAPHIC OVERRIDES FOR PLAN (maybe check other view types) and check the SHOW CATAGORIES FROM ALL DISCIPLINES, in the bottom left corner. Then expand out the structural framing catagory and uncheck analytical model...it should be the first opton. HTH
