HI I was looking for a way to create a double pitch continuous LH joist above a gymnasium. the easiest way for me was to draw half, and then start from the wall and meet in the middle. Likely not the best way, but it worked. The only problem now is only a small portion of the line shows on the framing plan in coarse view. In medium/fine I see the entire length. is this a visibilty setting or a problem with the LH joist family? I have attached plan, section and sloping joist for reference. Many thanks bluedog

One thing about the plan the continous line on the left are flat LH joists that will deleted when I determine why the sloping ones show up.

I checked visibility options in all views, still no luck, any other ideas. I am thinking it might be missing a reference plane. attached is current file. thanks

click on the top chord and click in the visibility settings and check that on the detail level that coarse is checked. see if that works.

Thanks I tried that and now it's stuck in medium/fine even when everything else shows as coarse, see pdf. I set everything else per other members of the revit joist family. any other ideas? many thanks

I seem to have resolved isue and learned something at the same time. The model line shown in the top view was too short, so I drew a longer one and tweaked the joist family a bit, likely not the text book way, but it works... now onto cross bridging
