RAC 2009- this is a wicked question.. i can right click a wall's end and disallow joining with other walls.. i can select unconnected for the top of a wall.. i can unjoin a lot of stuff- but i would like to know if there is a "global" way to have nothing attach or connect itself to anything?

No - but except with walls ... and maybe something else, REVIT usually asks. Or were you talking about associations?

attachments- joins- associations- parametric relationships or the parametric change engine itself.. if you could turn all that off- then all you would have is 3D objects with properties and parameters.. you would have something like dynamic CAD blocks of 3D lines only.. weird huh..
