i've revit architecture 2009. my render dialog tool is greyed out. i've checked settings/options/render - render appearance library location points to C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering\assetlibrary_base.fbx

below is screen shots of my problem. Please help.

Just a question: When you click in that render tab you are in what view ??? Plan view, section view, elevation, 3d view?? What???

Yes, as typhoon alludes to it sounds like you are trying to render from a sheet view?

Yeah Lilian2009, in your first screenshot, hardly but I can see that you are attempting to render an elevation....

That's what I thought, (I don't know if this is the issue) but if you want to render some kind of that views you can do that in 3D view and use "View Cube" to select the plan/elevation you want...
