You can use 3d text and you can place 3D lines but you can not have 2d elements in a 3d view. BTW - where would you place your grid lines? Site level, 1st floor, roof? When you spin your model, they kinda become worthless --- don't you think? You can always add 2d elements in "paper space" on top of your view. You can also export your grid and text from a plan viw to an autocad file then import that back into a model plan view.... now they are 3D.

the idea about exporting and importing is great. I have only one problem with that- I can get the grid lines, but I can't get the text- in Revit it just disappears. Any suggestions what to do? And the other thing would be- where can I find a 3D text in Revit?

I guess then 3D text- Model Text is ony in Revit Architecture, because in Structure by modelling tab there isn't... Ok, let's say the problem about 3D text in Revit is solved, but does anyone know how to get the text from imported cad drawing- dwg? (In my case, it wont show the grid line letters and numbers)

Just look around a bit more next time - Model Text in Revit Structure is in the Architectural Tab.

I have noticed sometimes, you have to be perpendicular to the Autocad text to see it in 3D, when you have imported gridlines from an autocad file.
