I have a room that is L shaped and for some reason when I create a space for the rooom it wants to make 2 separate spaces for that room.  Is there a way to combine or merge spaces into 1?

Just wondering,Ken@rlmrlm.com

If there are two spaces then you have placed something that tells Revit you have two spaces.  Revit defines spaces from room bounding elements.  The most common are walls set to be room bounding and room seperation lines.  You must have one or the other between these two spaces.  If it is a wall (maybe a low wall), turn off room bounding in its properties.  Otherwise, make sure VG shows room boundries and look for one of those between your areas.

check for room separation lines in your link and your MEP model through VG (its a sub catagory of lines) making both space and room separation lines another color, and a wider line helps a lot.

As WWHub says, select the wall with the opening and in its properties uncheck roombounding.

Be aware, when this wall is goin up to a higher level you'll ger the warning room is not in a enclosed area, you'll make this area enclosed with a room separation line.
