hi, were saving our revit files on central files, but the way we save it in central file is like this.

first we put the central file on 1 computer, then we save it into central file, after saving it into central file we copy the  central file on that computer and rename it, then we open the copied local file on other pc, its like we have a central computer designated just for the central file.

my question is there any other way for it or are we doing it right?

Hi, all computers need to be on a network, create a central file that is in a location visible to all other computers on the network. From any other computer open the central file & saveas to the current computer or a working folder on the network. Name the new file as to identify it as different to the Central file. This can be repeated on many other networked computers at the same time. (I've had in excess of 10 local copies accessing the Central File)

Now you have a Central File. Note there are other ways to create the local file, this process was the easiest to describe.
