1- Better color options in the model. the colors i choose in the color piicker don't look the same in the model. For example  we use to do floor layouts with split faces in revit, then export them into photoshop where we would then color them, this is inefficient seeing that it can easily be done in revit, however the colors don't show up like they did in photoshop, even though I use the same RBG values.

2- In addition to better coloring, I might add that it would be cool if there were presentation options, we do tons of proposals and presentation drawings in revit, but then have to export them for coloring. If revit offered a nice gradient feature and enhanced colors it would allow us to make nice looking presentation plans using the color legend.

3- I love the new modeling features, however we need the ability to make views that are parallel to the odd planes on which our objects lie.  This is not a prblem in plan view.  you can create a building elevation, interior elevation, or section at any angle, but if you are doing a roof for example and you want to draw on a reference plane say at a 30 degree angle from the horizon, you cannot create a view which is parallel to it, and thus revit will not let you create a scetch on the reference plane. I hope that all made sense.  Maybe there is a way to do this already and I just have not been creative enough to find it.

4- It would also be great to have the option to rename the different parameters in the color legend.  as it stands, if you want to rename a category, you have to create a new parameter value and then assign it the same color as the one you are trying to replace, then you have to delete the old one and then reselect all the rooms (for example) that where under the deleted parameter value and assign them to the new one you just created all this just because you wanted to simply change the parameter value for those rooms.  I recently discovered this because my boss just wanted the legend labeling the colors to be changed from all caps to just having the forst letter capitalized.  This took an hour or so to fix, when it would have been so simple to have just pushed a button allowing us to rename the parameter value.

5- Some more wishes would be to have the key notes editable in the revit file!  Also, a spell check would be nice for key notes.

6- Keboard short cuts for sub commands would be awesome.  For example when I want to draw a circle I use the detail line command short cut but then I still have to go up and use the pull down menue to choose a circle this defeats the purpose of the first short cut. Same with the rotate command, it's annoying to have to go up to that box to put in the angle, same principal applies to the ofset commands and so on.  I love Revit, but I think in this respect it could be a bit more like autocad.

I might have a few helpful suggestions:

1- You may already recognize it, but the colors are different because Revit tries to facet the different faces of objects so that you can distinguishes, say, a surface facing east from one facing south. You can control this a bit if you turn shadows on, or if you go to Advanced Model Graphics and check the box Use Sun Position for Shaded Display. It's by no means perfect, but it is another variable for controlling the way the colors look.

3- I've had to do exaclty what you're referring to about drawing parallel to a roof plane, and it is possible. Go to a section that cuts through the roof, draw a reference plane along the angle of the roof. Then draw a section in (it will only let you draw it vertically) then rotate the section placing your origin on the reference plane and your start ray paralell to the section, the rotation will then let you snap to the angle of the reference plane so that the section is paralell to the roof. This idea of sections snapping to reference planes is also good for placing sections right where you want them, for example, exactly on a center line.

6- I agree about the shortcuts for Circle, Rectangle etc. Bugs the heck out of me. But there is a quicker way with rotate. If you place the start rayand then move your pointer in the direction you want the object to rotate, you can type without going to the box, much the way move works.

That's all I've got for you, but I hope it makes things a little better. Cheers.

7- I also really really wish there was a way to clip a repeating detail or even a detail component for that matter.  It is really frustraighting when I'm doing detail views of say a building section and we have CMU walls that go to the slopped ceiling. The repeating detail is great untill the end. Because there isn't enough room for one more CMU it leaves a big gap. Instead of drawing a line it would be nice to draw a box where you could edit the boundry. This aaproaches very quickly a filled region.

8- I would love it if we could make our own hatch patterns in revit! A PAT file creator that would allow us to make model and drafting patterns would be a welcomed addition!!!
