Should we have a seperate forum for PME or does it go under this category?

Does anyone know a way to do ductwork or piping in PME in such a way as to be able to produce a complete bill of materials?

I know air devices, plumbing fixtures, etc can be scheduled, but is there such a way as to schedule how much of 1" pipe, how many feet of 10" round duct, etc?

It almost seems that if this was to be done, each pipe, fitting, ductwork, etc would need to be an element and be pieced together in segments.  Has anyone attempted to do this or is this even possible?

Yes it is possible.

Each discipline tab has a schedule/quantities button in it. Click it and you get all sorts of categories you can dig through that you would want to look in to.

I know 100% that you can get lengths of ductwork.

Thank you.  I found the schedule/quantity tab, it works great in mechanical.

It doesnt see, to want to work in regards to the Plumbing though.  Do you know if there is a way to find out total water and waste piping and sizes?  Currently, I only have the instructional revit models, and those that have piping do not show up with lengths or sizes.  The instructional ones that had ductwork did have exact information.

I do electrical, so I'm not sure about this.

I just hit the schedules buttons and I see one for pipes and another for piping systems. Both of those you can look at flow, lengths, diameters, etc. I think the one for pipes is a general piping one.

I think the piping systems (hot water, cold water, sanitary, etc.) is if you want to look at only a specific system for quantities.
