Next Question for the day. I am trying to set up our finish schedules and we would like to pull the ceiling type from the model and include it in the finish schedule. You can include a manual type in field but no where is there a way to pull the information on the family type. (or not that I say) I can create a ceiling schedule and have that information but I can not combine the two. Any help would be apprciated. Thanks

I assume you are using a room schedule for the finish schedule?

From what I have found there is no way to bring the ceiling type into the room schedule. There is also no way to schedule the room numbers in the ceiling schedule (which makes it quite useless)
We have instead used the "Ceiling Finish" Property in the "Room" To coordinate our Ceiling Tags and Room/Finish Schedules while only entering the properties once. We created a "Room Tag" that only shows the "Ceiling Finish" property of the Room. So our ceiling plans are tagged with "Room Tags" that look like ceiling tags. We tag the ceiling heights separately and do not include this in our Room Schedules.
The issue with the above solution is that visually the ceiling has to match the tag: As in if you switch from a GB ceiling to an ACT ceiling you will have to modify the room properties separately. We have found this to be a far less work coordinating then coordinating tags and schedules.

concur with tderkatch, best you can get is a room's ceiling finish, and this parameter is manually filled... Someone add this to the wish list...

I have come up with a workaround which isnt ideal but seems to be the least risky in terms of automatic updating of changes as the ceilings will usually be added to the model at a stage when the rooms and their locations have been decided - there is more likely to be a change to the ceiling type than the room number/name:-
Created a shared parameter for the ceilings called "ceiling room name/number"
when creating a ceiling manually enter in that field the room name or number
you can then create a ceiling shedule which includes room names/numbers which can be placed on a sheet, aligned with a room finishes schedule, so that it appears to be part of the same schedule
