Bratman active Joined: Tue, Aug 17, 2004 2 Posts No Rating	what is the significance of the 3d symbol on the reference planes in a revit model? I can make them 2D or 3D, but i don't know the difference.

Mr Spot site moderator\|\|\| Joined: Mon, Jan 12, 2004 2889 Posts	The 3D/2D toggle changes the reference plane to 3D or 2D extents for that view only. So if its set to 3D and you drag the end point it will change in all views (as its changing its 3Dimensional extents of the line.) Similarly when set to 2D you are only changing the visible appearance of the extents in that view... More useful for grids and levels... HTH.
