As a relatively new user, moving across from AutoCad, i have found Revit very intuitive and practical. Though i have not yet worked out how to create multifaceted complex geometric forms that are rotated on 2 planes. Is there a tool for joining faces using points? Has anyone come across a tutorial yet? How do you also edit in elevation and can you import Autocad elevation files into a Revit elevation, because our company has just started the transition across.

Welcome to the wonderful world of revit... Smile You can create very complex forms in revit but it requires a different way of thinking. Revits family modelling tools are based on positive and negative spaces (solids/voids) that can be created in 4 different ways extrusion, blend, revolve, sweep. I'd suggest going through the tutorials that are built into revit and also suggest getting some formal training. (be sure to jump into revit full time after the training or you may find it a waste as you'll forget a lot of things). You need to think in 3D. If you have your building modelled your elevations are merely extracts of this and as such are easily generate. You can import/link (current view only = Checked)DWG's to your elevations, floor plans etc to use a base to model the geometry... HTH. And above all have fun...
