I have a system family which appears to be made up of multiple families in my model on a ramp.

Element Properties: System Family: Railing

Is there any way to find the .rfa and edit it? Where is it located? Can I edit a family within the system family?

I just want to change the bracket length and tube size and then load into project. These are NOT option in the properties.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have edited may system families with this method and it has worked fine.  However I would like to know if there is a way to change the "sub families" that the system families are using.  for example in the section system family I can duplicate, rename, and edit the sub family (i.e. section tail - filled) but I can not tell the system family to use the new family that I have made.  This means that I have to change the original families.  Is there a way to do this?  Is it possible to make a new system family?
