when i load the K-Series Bar Joist-Angle Web 30k12 into

the project it doesn't have all the metal in it- only some metal

with all the angled metal being only lines.. but when i open it for

editing in the family

editor it shows all the metal angles that make up the joist.. how do i

get it to show all its parts in the project?

probably the visibilty settings in the family - select an object that isn't showing up and click on visibility and have a look at its settings

"probably visability settings in the family"

"select an object that isn't showing up" (isn't showing up in the project)

"click on visability" ? you mean visability graphics override from view properties

or vv in the family editor? all four are checked.. and even if i uncheck all four and load back in

the project it doesn't change anything..

if someone could just load the K-series bar joist-angle-web and see how

some of its parts are only lines and those line parts don't render..

King - I think this is the stock joist that comes with revit.  Looking at the family, it should show correctly but the poster does not say where it does not show right.  He needs to clarify that.
