I have a light fixure that I need to change the parameters of what can host it.  How do I change it to a generic family?  Please walk me through the steps as I have gone through every menu I can find.  I am using the 2009 version and am a relatively new user.  Thanks in advance for your help.

You have to start with a new template and build your family.... sorry! That is one of Revit's problems.
