I'm trying to create a Doric Column based on the classical portions of the order.  Essentially I want to be able to give it a height and all on the components of the column (i.e. the base, the entasis, the astrigal, the torus, abacus....) maintain the correction proportions in relation to the height.  As is the case in the classical orders every comonent of the column is based on the lower diameter of the column.  For example the height of the plinth is 1/6 the diameter of the column. I'm guessing that I need to come up with a formula in the parameters based on the diameter of the column????  Any help would be appreciated.

That will be one heck of a family, but it is doable.  Start with the "Column Diameter-Bottom".  Then make a parameter called "Plinth Height" and use the formula  "Column Diameter-Bottom/6"

You'll need to do that for every dimension you want changed.  Don;t forget to post that one when you are done! Smile

I started playing with it a bit and that's essentially what I've come up with.  I have a few issues still left to work out but I will upload it when I'm done.
