I am trying to render a 100 mb revit file and I cannot render any view larger than 14" 150 dpi. I have a dual processor w/ 3.5 gb ram and a 75 gb hard drive. Do I need a better computer or is there something that can be done in Revit Architecture 2009? The model itself covers a 10 acre site w/ 7 buildings approx 16,000 sf each & 4 stories. I have seen some large detailed model renderings on this site in the gallary so I know it can be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Does revit give errors, crash, or just hangs? Do you have linked files (structural, MEP)?

try to purge unused, this reduces the file size by deleting families you didn't use in the project, if you need them anyway you can load them back in your project afterwards.

You mave have to have one camera setup but render seperate areas of that then piece it back together in another program.
