i'm working on my first Revit Project.  A pre-cast concrete structure.  i'm having trouble with my hollow core planks running thru my pre-cast wall panels at my stair towers.  My walls run from the basement level up to the 3rd floor.  i've attached a angle to the wall panel to support the H.C. planks.  The planks run over the angle and thru the wall to the pre-cast beam around the exterior.  i'm was able to cope the planks around the pre-cast columns.

how do i keep them from running thru my wall panel and how do you cope a H.C. plank around the corner of the wall?

Thanks in advance

you can draw the planks longer than they actually need to be, draw a reference plane at the face of the wall and then use the cut geometry tool to cut the planks at the desired angle..

JACMD,

I tired the cut geometry idea, and worked great in one direction, but what if I need to to cut the plank in two directions? What I've got, and I think this is what voglerb is asking also, is how to I cut a hollow core plank around a corner? My planks are bearing on an exterior wall, and the wall jogs in and out, there are several instances where the wall jogs out right in the middle of a plank. I need to cope the plank so that half of it bears on the wall at 20' of span, and the other half spans out to 24'.

Is there a way that I can select two reference planes at same time, to use for my cut geometry?

Use Modelling - Opening - Opening by face

Select the face - draw the shape you want to remove - Finish sketch

Thanks vivhowe!

Modelling an opening by face worked great. That's exactly what I needed to do!
