We have several custom made families that are nested into other families that are put into our projects. We originally made some of them to render a certain color for schematic designs. As we move into DD, we need to assign realistic colors and materials. Several times, I've changed the material to be the right material and reloaded the families into the proper projects/host families and the component will still render the wrong color. Any help?

I'd also like to add, if I load the component into a brand new project, it will render the correct color and material.

The project controls the material settings.... it will always over-ride what is set in the family.  So - just identify what materials are used and change their settings in the project to match what they are set at in the family.

This is not a problem .... it is an advantage.  Every project can use the same family but change the material to suit the project.

I've re-checked the project materials and they are correct. The object still renders the wrong color. We are also linking the project into another project (site plan).
