Revit Structure 2009 I am trying to place a turn down slab edge, thickened slab edge, etc. on the end of my 4" thick slab and I am getting this error "Could not create Slab Edge." I am choosing the right face (indicated by a line at the top-edge or bottom-edge of the slab) and nothing happens. The error message gives no further explanation. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

You need to look at your profile for your slab edge. REVIT essentially runs a sweep along a path (the edge of your slab). If the sweep can not work bcause a turn is too short to allow the full profile, the sweep can not be made.

Yes that jagged piece of slab may not be able to get a slab edge but I cannot create one on the longer runs of slab edge. I actually deleted our old Thickened Slab family and started from scratch. I am now able to create my desired turn-down slab edges. I am guessing that the old family was either corrupt or maybe had to many types with it - 3 people have been adding multiple types to this one family. Anyways problem solved but not answered, time to figure out if I even want to mess with the jagged piece shown in the picture. Thanks
