I have an ackward structure that the Architect has drawn in AutoCAD, I have imported it and manged to cretate the beams using the select on a line command, I now wish to do the same with the columns, is there a way to do this? also just to add spice the columns are sloping..... which im also not sure how to draw, any help would be appreciated!

Revit won't be able to tell the lines are colums so you'll have to measure them individually and because they are sloping you'll need to create your own families. If you need more help then post a picture of what you are trying to create. John

allan, if the columns are drawn in 3d in autocad...just export out to ifc and then import via ifc...you might get the whole column...
