thanks erland73.. i guess they didn't read where i said i was trying to change the RPC Beetle from yellow to red.. but i'm still wondering if it's possible.. the car is a wireframe.. i guess i could get another Beetle if i could find one.. but that's my goal- a red Beetle.. somehow- somewhere- someway.. if you come across any ideas please let me know.. thanks..

thanks erland73.. that's the best answer yet.. the RPC Beetle is (even though it has a wireframe)- only rendered pictures and it can't be changed.. i haven't heard anyone say this- but i think MentalRay is terrible at rendering pictures.. of course it shines light on buildings ten times better than AccuRender- and that's what is really important.. thanks for your help..
